Sky Prime signs with Honeywell to protect Gulfstream fleet
Honeywell's avionics protection and mechanical protection plans are designed to help operators avoid unplanned maintenance costs and reduce downtime via a fixed annual fee. Sky Prime has signed up.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia-based operator Sky Prime has selected the Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan and Mechanical Protection Plan for its fleet of Gulfstreams.

The Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP) is a maintenance service programme that offers full coverage for all Honeywell avionics. The plan is designed to help operators avoid unplanned maintenance costs and downtime by agreeing to a fixed-price annual fee, which helps operators handle unforeseen issues quickly to keep their aircraft in service. The Honeywell Mechanical Protection Plan (MPP) provides aircraft operators with access to rapid service and support from Honeywell-trained product experts for maintenance of Honeywell mechanical technologies.

“Building on our existing relationship with Honeywell, we know we can trust the company to provide a global network of aftermarket support to keep our maintenance costs on track and within budget,” says Sky Prime CEO Mamdooh Mokhtar. “Introducing MPP and HAPP policies to our Gulfstream aircraft ensures our fleet stays flight-ready and will help us minimise potential downtime caused by unplanned repairs.”

MPP and HAPP allow users to select the coverage that best meets their needs, with flexible contract options, discounts for early enrolment and special pricing for fleet operators. Honeywell in turn offers avionics expertise, global reach and resources to protect aircraft electronics and cockpit technologies.

“Operators can often experience unexpected grounding of their aircraft and incur associated maintenance costs,” explains Honeywell senior director Stephen Alcock. “MPP and HAPP help an operator's budget by offering a solution that reduces unplanned maintenance costs, downtime and unnecessary stresses.. “Sky Prime's selection of MPP and HAPP will assist the operator by the taking surprise out of maintenance costs for its Gulfstream fleet, helping it to stay in control of its repair budget.”
