Honeywell integrates trip support into Forge
Flight planning and trip support data from Universal is to be integrated into Honeywell Forge. This will simplify the flight management experience and bring new connectivity capabilities to customers.
Flight planning and trip support data from Universal Weather and Aviation is to be integrated into Honeywell Forge for business aviation.

Honeywell will integrate flight planning and trip support data from mission management services provider Universal Weather and Aviation into its Forge for business aviation. Honeywell Forge offers enterprise performance management solutions that serve the aircraft, building, industrial, worker and cybersecurity segments. Currently, it is being used to process data from more than 10,000 aircraft.

With this new integration, flight departments can now generate Universal flight plans, Aircraft Performance Group (APG) runway analysis reports and APG weight and balance performance calculations within Universal's uvGO mission management platform and automatically sync related data with their Honeywell Forge dashboard. This allows ground crews to ensure complete mission readiness within a single familiar platform. Similarly, flight plans created and filed by Universal's flight planning experts on missions managed by Universal Trip Support will also be synced with Honeywell Forge.

Through Universal, customers will also have access to additional mission management services, including trip support, mission feasibility guidance and regulatory services.

Universal Weather and Aviation has been a highly respected and well-known international trip provider for nearly 50 years. Our collaboration with Universal will allow Honeywell to strengthen the services we offer our customers,” said Honeywell president, services and connectivity Philippe Chevrier. “We have been actively listening to the needs of both pilots and operators and are continuously looking at ways to simplify the flight management experience of business aviation customers.”

“We're excited to be the first and only trip support provider to be integrated with Honeywell Forge,” adds Universal executive vice president, digital product management Guido Groeschel. “This integration will bring new capabilities and efficiencies to Honeywell Forge customers, as well as give Universal customers access to Honeywell's leading connectivity services.”

Honeywell Forge customers will receive white-glove support from Universal for any new account setups, including aircraft profile configuration within uvGO and assistance with flight planning optimisation and biasing.

Through this combined solution, pilots and operators have access to their preferred services available in the Honeywell Forge ecosystem. This ecosystem brings together key operating services into a single view with closed loop alerting, connecting pilots, operations, scheduling, and maintenance. Operators can choose and save their preferred services, while keeping them integrated, synchronised and updated as their needs shift or fleets change.

Universal customers who become Honeywell Forge connectivity services subscribers can take advantage of performance-based communication and surveillance monitoring tools, which allow operators to check FANS performance right after an oceanic flight. Importantly, international operators can now find and address issues much quicker to ensure the ability to fly in the reduced separated track systems versus flying around or below them.
