Bell's latest interiors project brings material enhancements to the cabin in three colour schemes. The first outfitted aircraft has gone to a corporate customer in New Zealand.

Bell Textron has introduced a new Designer Series interior for the Bell 429. The upgrade addresses all cabin materials and includes high quality leathers; enhanced flooring with hardwood and carpet options; improved seat tailoring that is now removable and replaceable in the field; metal finishes on lights, air valves, cabin handles and door latches; pictorial placards for enhanced aesthetics; sturdier assist handles for ingress/egress; and headset jack bezels to improve the look and operation of passenger headsets.

The new interior is offered in three coordinated colour schemes.

“The new Designer Series interior in the Bell 429 sets a new standard for Bell interiors,” says vice president, global sales LaShan Bonaparte. “It is important to us to provide our customers with quality products and services. We've been working with our customers and listening to their feedback to design an interior that provides a comfortable and luxury experience in the aircraft.”

The company has recently made its first sale of a Bell 429 featuring the new Designer Series interior to a New Zealand-based helicopter charter and management company. Advanced Flight will now have two VIP transport Bell 429s, in addition to those it manages and operates for the NZ Police Air Support Unit, flying some 3,300 hours annually on a contract it was awarded in 2018.
