SyberJet Aircraft has completed the aircraft control identification tests (ACID) in support of the development of the all new autopilot for the SJ30i. In addition, the OEM is continuing to successfully complete other avionics functional tests required for certification of the SJ30i.
The all new autopilot is being developed by a joint Honeywell and SyberJet flight test team being flown out of SyberJet's engineering and product development centre located at the San Antonio International airport. Honeywell will use this collected test data to develop the initial gain settings that will be used as the basis for autopilot tuning later this spring.
SyberJet's all new avionics suite for the SJ30i, SyberVision, is powered by Honeywell's Epic 2.0 platform and is being integrated with the all-new electric pitch trim actuator developed by Electromech Technologies in Wichita, Kansas. The integration of these systems is going well. The overall flight test programme will culminate in an amended type certificate for the SJ30i and immediate subsequent deliveries thereafter in early 2021.
